Labels Used by Our Customers in the Panel Building Sector
Whether for a large industrial-scale panel-building factory or a smaller bespoke panel shop, accurate labeling is essential for both construction and ongoing maintenance after installation. When dealing with panels, time is of the essence.
A commonly used label type is individual markers, which can be resistor color-coded or single-color, applied either directly to the wire or on a cable bar.
However, the process of sliding individual markers onto a cable or bar is highly time-consuming. If a wireman runs out of a specific character required for identification, production grinds to a halt until additional supplies are ordered and received. This not only delays the installation process but also results in further downtime while waiting for replacements.
Silver Fox’s Fox-in-a-Box® offers an ideal solution for panel shops of all sizes. It enables the efficient printing of a wide range of labels covering the entire panel, including internal components such as cables and wiring blocks and external features like warning signage.
One particularly innovative and practical labeling option is Legend™ non-shrink tubing, which features a unique figure-of-eight design that grips the cable securely. This approach significantly reduces the time required compared to the traditional use of individual markers.
For resistor color coding, our labels printed using an ordinary office laser printer automatically incorporate resistor color coding through the Labacus Innovator® labeling software, providing additional time savings in this critical aspect of the process.
